De beloning van Urquiola’s werk
Doordat Urquiola zo succesvol is geworden in haar werk worden een aantal van haar ontwerpen tentoongesteld in musea en heeft zij in de afgelopen jaren diverse awards in de wacht gesleept. Het gaat onder meer om de Gold Medal of fine arts en Order of Isabella the Catholic. Daarnaast is zij verkozen tot designer of the decade door de Duitse tijdschriften Home en Häuser en is zij door andere internationale tijdschriften voor wonen en architectuur verkozen tot designer van het jaar. Momenteel is ze vooral bezig in haar eigen studio in Milaan met design, tentoonstellingen, art direction en architectuur. We kunnen daarom nog veel prachtige dingen van Urquiola verwachten de komende jaren, want ze is nog lang niet uitgewerkt!
